They say money doesn’t buy happiness. And it doesn’t. But, it can sure make life easier.
How can you save money? How can you make extra money on the side? You can start by saving money on groceries with free downloadable apps.
Can you get things for free? (Hint: yes. See how I’ve won 5 free vacations!)
I love food. I would even consider myself a foodie. But let’s be honest, I can’t make or eat the gourmet food every single day. And my son is so picky, it would be a wasted effort. I want to bring you easy recipes, things the whole family will enjoy.
But for me, food is also an integral part of my health and fitness. I want to teach you how to meal plan!!!! How do you feed healthy food to your busy family on the go? How can you make healthy food accessible on the go?
I talk about how I lost 30 lbs and kept it off, and some simple breakfast swaps to help you on your way! I have a great FREE 4-week weight loss challenge to kick-start your weight loss – you can sign up below, and get some awesome tips and assignments to start your weight loss journey today!
I have a son. Boys are unpredictable, funny, and charming. You never know what is going to happen next! There is nothing more rewarding in the world!
Sometimes, though, parenting can be hard. If we are going to be transparent, and we are, it’s sometimes messy and ugly. We need to be honest with each other as moms, and help each other out!
Travel actually came later. It wasn’t something I originally planned to blog about, but our family had some big travel plans this summer. It just sort of evolved with the blog! I love discussing our travels, and tips for family travel!
I have a checklist (with a printable download available) for a weekend trip.
More About Manda J
I was born and raised in Eastern Kentucky on a ridge in the Appalachian mountains.
You don’t realize how culturally different your life is until you come down off the ridge…
The house I grew up in stood in the middle of nowhere. All around us were our cattle fields, and in front of us, a long stretch of woods. My friends were my cousins, and otherwise, my animals. I could walk over a hill to my grandmother’s house where my great-grandmother, grandmother, and grandfather lived on an adjacent farm. I spent a lot of time eating cold cornbread in milk at their kitchen table, running around barefoot with my cousins, and learning from generations of strong women.
The first time I ever got on a plane and went further than the tri-state area I had turned 21 years old. And I flew to Beijing to study abroad. That’s the first indication I had grown into someone who doesn’t do anything the easy way or in a small way.
I’m a mother, a wife, a nurse practitioner, travel addict, Disney lover, and now a blogger. I’m old fashioned and modern at the same time. I’m a person who wants to be many things at once. I just want to explore.
